We visited this restaurant on our last night. The food, the service and the prices were just what we were looking for. The cheeseburgers and tater tots were very good. Several people in my party ordered the mac and cheese burger and said it was delicious. I didn't give it 5 stars because the burgers were very small. We had four 17 year old boys and they ate theirs in about 2 bites.

First time going to the Lodge over the years of coming to Hilton Head. The burgers were good, not the best ever, but a good burger. The prices weren't outrageous for Hilton Head. The only complaint, is we went on a Sunday night, were one of 3 tables in the building, and still had to get out and go get our own drink re-fills at the bar, and a few of our things came out incorrect. Pretty bad service for such a dead night. The servers were also the bartenders and seemed more interested hanging out together behind the bar and taking care of the 7-8 people at the bar, than any of the 3 tables. I would go again, but for food I would get takeout, or plan on just sitting at the bar and drinking from their extensive beer menu.

We had a party of 8 including one child, and we were seated right away in the middle of dinner time. They have a great craft beer selection that a few in our group took part in. There was a life size jenga and connect four to keep our daughter occupied while we waited, but it didn't take long to get the food. Everyone talked about how amazing their food was, but I had the pimento cheese burger and it was to die for! The size was perfect (not so much you over eat and feel terrible after the meal), and we will be back for more!

We had a terrible experience here, we got there late and were told that table service was no longer an option, which would be fine until a couple came in later than we did and got served at a table immediately. The bartenders were beyond rude and the food was extremely mediocre. Our Mac and cheese bites were burnt as well. I would not ever go back.

My last trip to Hilton Head was a while back but I never got around to reviewing this place. A group of us showed up later in the evening and it was pretty packed, as were all the other bars in the area. I was impressed with the craft selection and really the only place I came across down this way that had anything like it. The service was a little slow due to the massive crowds but that's toucf to avoid on a Friday night with nice weather. I would definitely come back again to get a better sampling of their brews.

great tater tots with 2 sauces. best hamburger I've had in a long time. friendly atmosphere with a crowded bar. would definitely go back! reasonably priced.

To keep it simple, the food was fantastic but the service was terrible. If they were slammed I'd be more understanding but there only a few other tables. We did have a large group but that still doesn't explain why she brought drinks out one at a time instead of on a tray. She also never brought three people's drink and we got them from the bar. She also never brought two people's food who eventually ordered from a runner and it cam instantly. At least the food was good enough to partially redeem the experience. Great tots.

We had a few dilemmas to work around: We wanted to eat at a restaurant. We have an infant who may or may not cry intermittently while we sit there. So the place has to be loud enough not to piss other people off. The food had to be decent and somewhat unique. The beer had to be excellent. We walked around the area and finally settled on this place when I saw their extensive beer menu ($3 beers on Monday? Yes please!) and the gourmet caprese grilled cheese they had on their menu. And tator tots! And fried mac and cheese! My husband ordered something like meatloaf I think and we both cleaned our plates completely and downed a couple delicious brews all while enjoying a night out with our kid-- who didn't end up crying, btw. You never know, though, and even if he did, the people next to us wouldn't have known because it was a bit loud in there. I also loved the open concept and how we sat inside but were able to enjoy having a very wide door (garage size) open next to us. Felt like we were enjoying the outdoors as well.

Solid place to grab drinks in Hilton Head. Somewhat hard to find. In the Reilly plaza, next door to the hilton head brewing company. A group of us went for pre-dinner drinks on a Monday night, which happened to be $3 pint night. They have approximately 30-35 beers on tap (mostly micro-brews, including the local Westbrook IPA, Oberon, Sun of a Peach, etc).

Delicious $5 burger really hit the spot. Try their flight of four 5oz beers (I picked two local pale ales, fat tire red amber, and magic hat #9-yum!) if you want to be adventurous-- each is only $2 so still better than getting 2 pints ($4) of what you usually get. Apparently their craft selection changes monthly! Very cool. Orchid (of One Hot Mamas) was in charge that night, came over to us and asked us how everything was. That makes a difference to me. Around 8pm was still family friendly, but if you come late night, would be a great hang out with friends.

I absolutely loved this place. It is a restaurant and bar with emphasis on the bar. Literally looks like a cozy modern lodge/wood cabin on the inside. They have a large selection of beers on tap including ciders. You can also buy select growlers to go. They have TVs, one or two pool tables and a Juke box. The night my husband and I went we were on vacation in HHI. We sat at a booth and ordered some chicken wings which are actually made from One Hot Mama's across the plaza. The waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable of their menu and beers. Very eager to make suggestions knowing we were out-of-towners. I also had the Parmesan Truffle Tater Tots. These were not what I expected. They were normal tater tots with a side of Parmesan Truffle Butter. Holy cow they were amazing. The truffle butter was creamy and rich. They have a great selection of Burgers, Gourmet Grilled Cheeses and some other meaty BBQ options as well. The only reason I did not give them 5 stars, is because towards the end of our meal our waiter seemed to kind of abandon us for a larger table celebrating a birthday. Luckily a different waiter saw we were sitting with empty glasses and picked up the slack. We were there on a Monday night, and they started doing trivia around 9:30. We lingered a while to catch the first round. The trivia was fun, more pop trivia instead of middle east geography a lot of places dish out. The hubs and I were tied for second with another team when the final question came down to sports trivia which neither one of us give two flicks about. Prizes came in liquid form. If this place was in my neighborhood it would definitely become a weekly staple.

The wait for Hot Mama's was over an hour. No wait for the Lodge and the hostess told us the food comes from Hot Mama's. Plus it was $3 draft night and the entertainment was good. Good food, friendly service, no wait. What more do you need?

My wife and I discovered the Lodge's burgers about eight months ago. Since that time we have returned several times for the food. Recently they have changed the burgers. When we asked about a difference in food we were told that the previous cooks had been making them wrong. How does it take eight months to determine your menu is not being cooked correctly? Bring back the old cooks. They were making a better product. Charge me more for the burger I prefer.

Embrace your inner fat kid. Pimento cheese burger & fried mac & cheese alongside life size Connect Four & so many beers on tap. My only regret is that we found this place on our last night of vacation. We'll definitely be back.

Decent beer selection and great prices (we did the Wednesday happy hour). The spicy tots and Mac n cheese bites were delicious. As a Buffalo gal, the wings were definitely above average in size and flavor.

This place is absolutely awful. I came in from Chicago and was extremely disappointed with everything. Awful service, and the food was disgusting. I will never go back.

We had a party of 5 (3 brothers with two spouses). It was a chance to eat, drink, and hang out while the parents watched the grand-kids. Food was good. Deviled Eggs and Sausage Bites for apps were both tasty. Everyone enjoyed their entrees (Burgers mostly). Drinks were good. Beer selection was decent (not enough non-IPAs for my taste), and the waitress did a great job keeping up. The owner even came by and talked with us. We ended the night in the back area playing pool, and beating another groups of siblings at an intense game of Jenga. All-in-all I would go back. It is definitely different that every other place on the island - in a good way.

I badly want to give this place 4 stars. The tap selection is on point, and the hunting-lodge-on-drugs ambiance is unique and fun. I managed to get the same @#*$sh** bartender/server on both visits, though, and I can't believe that he's still employed ANYWHERE. After begrudgingly bringing us our first round on the initial visit, he disappeared for 25 minutes. We had to order at the bar, and when he returned, he didn't even have the good graces to look....embarassed. The SECOND time we visited, he was tending bar. Wasn't primarily in charge of our group, but still managed to come by to drop subtle barbs that he obviously thought were "jokes" and be constantly irritating. Don't avoid The Lodge, because the beer here is legitimately fantastic. Food looks fine. DO avoid the close-cropped blonde haired server/bartender with the glasses.

Just Ok place ... The waitress was very pleasant! The burgers just average and surprisingly the buns were your plain old grocery store buns. Tots were good but fried potatoes are hard to not get right. Bill for two was over 30.00 which I thought was over priced for lunch. Atmosphere is more a bar place than eatery. We tried it, but in my opinion a place we will most likely not return to.

After a week of rich seafood, we were ready for some simpler fare that was lighter on the wallet, if not necessarily the waistline. The Lodge fit the bill with a nice variety of craft beers on tap, great burgers, and decent appetizers, including Parmesan and truffle tater tots. Fast, friendly service as well.

  • Angry J.

Grabbed a late lunch of Parmesan coated tater tots, giant soft pretzels and smash burgers! Absolutely awesome food and prices!!!! Very casual atmosphere with that "lodge" charm. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is it's hard to find, tucked in the middle of a multi restaurant complex. This is a must go while you are at HH

Fun place with great craft beer selection. We sat at the bar without incident and received prompt service. The head bartender is knowledgeable about the beers she serves and is able and willing to offer suggestions about taste. Fun place

Service is so awful ...bartenders are so rude and this has been on multiple occasions. No personality and attitude. No one here has been pleasant to deal with...I don't get their whole vibe...just smile and and have some customer service skills. Only thing it has going for them is the craft beer selection.

Good beer selection (if they hadn't ran out of 2/3 of the drafts), but limited food options and too loud to talk. We came on a Monday night for the $1 pasta and $3 drafts, and stayed for trivia. The beer selection is one of the best I've seen in Hilton Head, but they had ran out of at least half of their 36 on-tap drafts by 9pm! We started having to ask what they actually still had available (chalkboard wasn't updated), rather than what they had ran out of. Luckily the Stone Cali-Belgique IPA was still available and amazing, and they had a nice mix of national and local craft breweries. Great deal for $3 a pint! The menu is very limited - burgers, wings, pork, and fried apps. That's ok for bar food, but not much selection for dinner. I'm not a fan of spaghetti and meatballs (though $1 for pasta is pretty good), and I don't eat burgers or fried food. Since there were zero healthy options (or even anything pretending to be mildly healthly), I settled on a veggie hummus platter with pita bread, cucumbers, 5 baby carrots, and a weird pimento cheese dip, and a small order of wings. Everyone else at the table ordered burgers, pasta, or pork sandwiches, but no one raved about the food. Also, we were seated right beneath a speaker turned up to "WHAT DID YOU SAY... I CAN'T HEAR... OH MY GOD I HAVE TINNITUS NOW." Not only was the trivia announcing loud, but the music between rounds was ear-shattering. Since the Lodge was crowded, we didn't have the option of switching tables. Not to mention it was uncomfortably hot inside and service was just meh - we had to flag down our waitress to order a second round of beers. The low-key rustic lodge atmosphere is cool (especially the huge stuffed bear slugging back a pint). The beer selection is good (before they run out). I would come back for beers, but not to eat and not on a Monday... as soon as this ringing in my ears goes away.

Beware. This one is going to burn! Went out on a Sunday night for Lodge Bar. Reviews sounded great. Good reputation in Barmuda Triangle. Looking forward to the different bar food and beer selection. Couldn't have been more of a disappointment. It was around 7 and busy but we were prepared for a wait. Content to sit outside and drink until a table was ready. My sister and I walked in to find there was no hostess, no stand, no one even looking like they wanted to help you. I snagged a waitress. She apologized for no hostess and then said they didn't have a pager system. They would yell out your name, 45 minutes. Okay. Not a deal breaker. Went back outside to join the guys. They went in and came out within 10 minutes with the first round of drinks. We sat contently until the guys went back for round two. And we waited...and waited. My sister goes in to check after about 20 minutes and says the table is ready. The guys had never even gotten to order the 2nd round. We hurry to our table. Now, to be clear we said it was 4 adults and a high chair. (We couldn't foist my niece off on the grandparents for every meal and she's good in public. She's been to bars before.) We had a big booth and the high chair. Only problem? Booths are raised up about 4 inches or so. So, my little niece is eye level with the table. Clearly this isn't going to work. We sit for about 10 minutes when no server has come around. The booth behind us has been waiting longer and they get up and leave. When we realize that there is NO ONE working the floor and the 3 bartenders are failing to manage the bar that is 2-3 people deep, we walk out. Unacceptable. As my facebook status said, as we were leaving...abysmal. We left and went to Marley's down the street and got great service.

Ok normally don't do this but wouldn't step foot in this place ever again. Food wasn't the issue at all not to say I wouldn't like to see a half pound burger expecially with the flavors that produce in the kitchen chunky blue burger was awesome but other then that everything else sucked waitress went missing for about a good 20 min in the middle of our meal so we ended up going to the bar to get our own drinks ended up seeing the waitress behind the bar texting sitting down and when I told her everyone needed another round she replied I'll be right there and went on texting and took another 10 minutes to get to us, mind you we have a party of 9 so it's not like we are a small table. Then the last thing I will mention would be the lighting we ended up sitting at a long table in between the pool tables and the fire pit it was so dark we had to use our flashlight apps on our phones to read the menus. Wasn't impressed at all with this place.

Wife & I went last night and loved the beer selection and food. We at at the bar and the bartenders (Mike) was friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. There were actually some very rude patrons last night and the staff kept their cool and handled it professionally as they should. Apparently the air on the "shuffle board table" was "broken" and she was unhappy. A shuffle board table doesn't run on air. The lady patron was the biggest b!tch I ever saw and felt bad for the husband who has to live with that full time. Anyway, great food, beer and service and we'll definitely be back.

I love their samplers of craft beers. I like to try new things and the Lodge makes it super affordable to try until your heart is content. Their juicy lucy is pretty good. This last time I got their double smashed burger with all the free toppings. It was a great cheeseburger. They are always rotating craft beers, but this past time I got their Doc's Sour Cherry Cider. Omg! If you're a fan of cider, you've got to try this. There is a good variety of sauces for burgers and tots. I recommend the bbq ranch and the siracha mayo. The 420 pale ale cheese is good too.

We were promptly greeted by an enthusiastic host. The server (Brianna) was quick to bring us drinks. Then, it's like we turned invisible. After we finished our drinks and realized no one would ever come to take our dinner order, I resolved to walking to the bar to order.....Brianna still ignored me. I went back to the bar and waived cash. That got her attention. I told her I'd given up on ordering food and just wanted to pay for our drinks and go. She took my money and went back to her conversation as if nothing had happened.

While on vacation we stopped by for a Monday night special... $1 pasta night on Mondays. We were skeptical to try it but was pleasantly surprised how good it was. They have over 100 craft beers to choose from. Great happy hour til 8 pm. We came back that same Wednesday for their $3 craft Draft special and $15.99 prime rib night. We will be back.

This place is great. The "One Hot Asian" wings are fantastic. I can see why it's an award winner. Our server, Colleen, was great, she took the time to explain all the wing flavors and beers as well and was just all around attentive even as the place was busy. I recommend this place to anyone.

Went to Hilton Head for one week (Sunday to Sunday) and somehow I became a 'regular' according to YELP at The Lodge, because I went twice within a week. Maybe YELP is trying to tell me something about my drinking habits.... Anywho. The Lodge is a bar located within the 'Bar-muda' area of the Reilly Plaza, which houses basically 4 restaurants (maybe 5?), which all have bars within them, WHICH all turn into a real bar scene at night, especially on the weekend. Once 10-10:30pm hit on Friday night, it seemed like quite the place to hang out for the younger crowd. Besides the big younger crowd that came in on Friday night, The Lodge has all of these things: -many booths to sit in -a fake bear drinking a beer -a million beers on tap (maybe 50 actually) -$3 drafts of almost everything -a fake weasel smoking -nice bartenders -pool tables and other games in the back -a lot of tv's How can you really go wrong? Once I saw Shiner on draft for $3, I could have been sitting in the parking lot and I would have given The Lodge five stars.

  • Lauren H.

We had a fun night here. They had about 20 beers on tap and they also have shuffle board and pool. Lots of fun. It wasn't too busy on a week night, but I bet it packs in on the weekend.

We only stopped in for a beer because of the long wait at one hot mama but the staff was excellent. My girl friend has a gluten allergy and they were more than accommodating pointing out what drinks were gluten free. Also informed us that the BBQ is gluten free although it doesn't state it on the menu. The staff was so inviting we will be back our next time in Hilton Head.

I can only review this establishment and not the other bars/clubs within the "Barmuda Triangle." The reason being is that The Lodge is usually the first stop for the night, and it's usually a LONG stop. Then, around 1:30am I realize that I've stumbled into one of the other bars, which have more of a nightclub aura. Not that there's anything wrong with those places, but I can't give them an honest review. There may be black lights, and 50 Cent songs, and possibly wristbands. I don't know. I can't clearly recall. Any-who...where was I? The Lodge...yeah this is a good first stop for the night. Lots of tasty tasty beers on tap. There might be a little taxidermy here and there. Tabletop shuffleboard, pool, etc. Never tried the food. Around midnight you realize that the average age has dropped to about 19, and you're starting to get funny looks. That's when you start ordering the double RBV's and letting the kids know you're still at the top of your game. Hence the reason we end up zombie-ing over to the other places in a state of confusion an hour later.

Great staff, bartenders are very knowledgeable and friendly! Very good beer selection! No food available. Good spot to hang out. Lot's of locals head to this bar so is has a really downhome feel to it... Great tap and bottle menu!

Laurel rocks it at the bar. Cool bar on 1 edge of "the triangle" as the locals call it. Across the street from ONE HOT MAMA'S and a Brew place we found ourselves nestled in a wooden lodge bar filled with t-shirt & flip flop locals. Tight-nit bar group w/ great customer service. Cheap drinks ( no food though ).

Outstanding beer selection! When you find something you like you can take home a growler for the next day. I enjoy the burgers and they have tater tots, enough said. The music can be loud at times but not a turnoff. Service is good. A great rustic chill place with excellent beer, must be a LODGE!

The Lodge seems like a good place to stop for a beer in Hilton Head. I heard about it from a friend and was very excited to try it out. First off we had a bit of trouble finding the place. It's in the Reilly Plaza complex with several other restaurants and bars, and if it's your first time, you may find you parked on the wrong end of the complex due to poor signage. It helps if you don't wait until after dark for your first visit! Even though we were in town during peak season (July), our first visit was a little disappointing. The lodge is quite large, with plenty of tables and booths, but there were only about 8 other people aside from our group. By contrast, there were a ton of people (slightly older crowd however) across the way at One Hot Mama's. Usually I like quiet bars; you can sit where you like, you get good service from the bartenders, and there are increased opportunities to strike up conversations with new people you meet. Unfortunately this wasn't to be as our bartender was borderline antisocial (I think she just didn't want to be there that day, we all have days like that) and nobody at the bar was talking much either. I loved getting my Sam Adams Summer in a growler to take home with me, but I just didn't feel that the place was that fun. Gave The Lodge another try more recently and it was a step up. The guy behind the bar was a hoot and definitely hooked my girlfriend & I up on our shot orders. It still wasn't as busy as we expected but I think our proclivity for going out on "off" nights (avoid Weds-Sat basically) has something to do with that. Overall we will probably visit The Lodge again but for a quiet beer to escape the kids or have a girl talk, not for some crazy fun "Night Out" type shenanigans.

I've been here twice, and this is my kind of place! They have an AWESOME selection of beer and the bartenders are super friendly. The first time I was here was during a slower time of the year. This was great because we were able to have some great conversations with fellow beer drinkers because the music wasn't loud and the place wasn't very crowded. The second time we went was in the midst of the tourist season and the music was so loud that it was hard to hear my friends from across the table. It was also really busy, but that's half the fun! The beer selection was still excellent during the summer--it was just what I wanted. If I could knock them down a half point for the loudness I would, but it definitely doesn't deserve a whole point. In the fall they have some great dark beers (e.g., FOUNDERS!!!) so hopefully they will have the same great selection this upcoming fall. If you're looking for a comfortable and unpretentious place to have a great beer, this is it!

We must have come on an off night. We had no service whatsoever, sat at two different tables and the bar and no one offered to get us drinks or anything. We waited 20 minutes before leaving. Incredibly disappointing as my husband was eager to try some craft beers. Bummer, won't be back.

We stopped in here on a Sunday night for a couple of beers. They have a good selection of really great beers. Friendly bartender and typical bar atmosphere. Since it was Sunday night it was pretty slow. For those looking for good beer on the Island I highly recommend this place. Their selection is better than any other place we went.

Interesting place. The decor is kind of rough. They have a bar, booths, and tables with stools in the back near the pool tables and shuffleboard. We came on Monday night for the $3 craft beer specials. They have a pretty extensive list of craft beers. The menu is pretty basic. We ordered the caprese grilled cheeses and a bavarian pretezel. The pretzel was really good. I liked the grilled cheeses too. This place is not fancy. Its a good place to get a beer and a burger/sandwich with no frills.

Went to the lodge on a Friday night...hubby and I were in town and looking for something to do...we had some very good drinks at the bar and the juke box has a big selection. The bartenders were really friendly and helpful.. we were looking for a place to go dancing and right across from The Lodge is Hot Momma's who has dancing after the restaurant closes..since they are both owned by the same group, you can have a to go cup and walk back forth between establishments. Very fun time.

The Lodge is my kind of place. Speaking purely subjectively, the atmosphere is great--and exactly what you would imagine from a place called "lodge"--a lot of wood, unpretentious, and the occasional display of taxidermy. The prices are reasonable, and the folks are friendly. Plenty of pool tables, and even a shuffleboard table (which I believe someone mentioned). Someone also referred to the place as "fratastic," but I would have to disagree...just an unpretentious place to go hang out with friends. Can't go wrong with that. The Lodge is also adjacently located to a couple other bars, so you always have the option to walk 30 feet or so and check out a few other establishments as well.

After having a terrible time at Hilton Head Brewing Company I was about to call it a night and head back to the hotel, completely disappointed in what the locals had referred to as "the Bar-muda Triangle, when I decided to give The Lodge a shot. I was greeted by one of the two bartenders even before I sat down, and not with the usual, "what can I get you", but with a genuine, "how are you doing tonight". Their beer selection is pretty sizable so as I pondered the list the bartender said, "if you tell me what you like I can steer you in the right direction." after choosing one of Brooklyn Breweries selections I asked for a menu, but was told the kitchen was closed for repairs. This was a deal breaker and as I was about to wonder off to a third Triangle location for food the bartender said he would get me a menu from the restaurant next door. Wow, that's service! Got some wings and stuck around for Levitator while the place started filling up. The bartender continued to interact with me and all of the other guests with the same level of interest and caring the entire time I was there. I can't recommend this place enough!

hmmmm. Don't believe the ads suggesting this place is sophisticated and classy. The Lodge is unabashedly FRATASTIC. Your drink will be served in a plastic cup. You will not be able to avert your eyes from the flat screens (there are even flat screens set up outside on the deck). Yes, they do have cigars. Yes, Tuesday night is $3 martini night (whoopee!) This is your place if you love well dressed cute girls and their boorish and slovenly dressed dates. Sorry, Meredith M. I looked for your panties to no avail.

Went here Friday night for the Heritage and rang up a $100 bar bill. For that I got repeatedly ignored by the bartenders in favor of locals and yelled at by the old psycho door guy. Should have gotten a manager but not sure they had one. I expect this type of atmosphere in Myrtle Beach, but expect more from Hilton Head. What a bunch of jerks.

I have been coming to Hilton Head for over 20 years & I am always looking to try something new. After looking at the menu we decided to give it a try because of the extensive beer selection. The beer selection was great! We ordered fried mac & cheese and 2 different tater tot appetizers. All the appetizers were very good, especially the fried mac & cheese. The bbq-ranch, habanero ketchup & 420 pale ale cheese dipping sauces were excellent. My wife got the potato chip meatloaf which she loved & I thought was excellent as well. I ordered the ribs with the perfect 10 sauce. The sauce was very good & the meat pulled right off the bone but for some reason some of the ribs seemed a little chewy. My one son ordered the brisket which looked great but it too seemed to be a little on the dry side. He dipped it in the bbq-ranch sauce which he said made it less chewy. We also tried the pulled pork melt that we ordered for my 1 year old. The pork on this was very good. The portions were large so we went home with leftovers. We definitely want to try it again.

Awesome beer list and great service. Bartender was fully versed in the different selections on tap. Great choices from Stone , Rogue, Anderson Valley etc.. Can't wait to come back!

Went on a Monday night and found they had $1 pasta (yes, $1!! Wished we didn't eat before coming!) and $3 pints. They have a nice micro brew selection, and all but a few of the drinks were included in the special. Nothing like getting a bill for 8 great pints of beer and having a $24 tab! Also, Monday is trivia night and John runs a fun, fast paced game. He keeps it quick to avoid everyone looking up the answers on their phones. Probably would not have stayed so late, but we had such a good time playing trivia and interacting with the others who were playing at the bar. Did not have the food, but nice workers, good beer and a laid back atmosphere make this a nice choice for a few drinks!

I went down here with friends who are locals and regulars so I don't know if my experiences there were typical for the tourist crowd. We had friendly bartenders making us pretty strong drinks. I can see how it could be considered "fratastic" as others said in earlier reviews, although at first we got glasses and then later they switched to plastic cups. Makes sense to me! After 4 or 5 patron shots you might drop something! The bartender was funny also so that's always a plus!

Saturday night...7:00 pm. The place was dead, service was awful! Beer was good, and food was good. However, if you value service at all, you will not be pleased!

We went there late night (Hard to find anywhere on Island that serves food after 9:30 or 10!!) Sat at bar.The bartenders were really nice & even though the kitchen was closing because we had tried 3 different places & it was now almost 10:30 They agreed to lake us a delicious dinner!. I got the homemade tasting grilled pimento cheese sandwich Never had anything like it before. Served on bread that tasted like it was fresh baked that day & the cheese had wonderful flavors There's a secret ingredient in there somewhere!, perfectly salty sweet! Delicious homemade chips/fries. My husband got a delicious mushroom cheeseburger. A hearty portion of perfectly cooked beef, covered in delicious melted provolone cheese. I had to try it- yes it tasted as good as it looked!! Tasted like they cooked it on a wood grill! Great bartenders. We stayed around & later they had in the courtyard free music! Late night entertainment is Also Very hard to find. There are only a few places. This is one we would definitely return & plan to over July 4th. I apologize I didn't get to take pics so will then! ~ (We also ate brunch at Hot Mamas, right across from Lodge) Is decorated in 1950 hot rod café style. Not terrible but the bbq -being from South I've had better! It was a bit fatty. Buffet was okay eggs tasted funny? Grits were wonderful That is mostly what I ate.My husband got something called a double fried chicken or something like that not crispy enough. They did have a free bloody mary or mimosa with buffet. But not going to return will go to lodge instead!

My personal favorite bar when I lived on Hilton Head Island, the bartenders are great, the drinks were affordable, the company there was always cool, many locals, many great times for certain.

This place is 'the place' to go on the island on Tuesday $3 martini nights...i've never experienced any plastic cups myself (in my many times here throughout the years), and the decor is very 'lodge-y', the crowd is a big ghetto these days, but worth coming for the $3 martinis! They arent strong, so if you're looking to get trashed, this may not be your place, and i certainly wouldnt come here looking for any great catches, but the drinks taste good (tres girly), and for $3 totally worth it! pooltables and tvs definitely give it a more laid back vibe, but i think theres a cute little fireplace that make it cozy at the same time... side note, a bartender who worked here was shot a couple years ago during a fight or something, so the triangle bars are definitely getting quasi ghetto...be careful!

Went there on a Sunday evening and the bartender was more than helpful allowing my friend and I ample time to sample a variety of fantastic beer. Great place to pick up a Growler (64 oz. jug) of almost any of the above mentioned beer selections. Of course, the one beer I fell in love with, was unable to be taken home due to limited quantities. Oh well, second choice was just as good. If you are a beer lover, take a few minutes out of you day to pop in and have some ice cold delicious beer!
